In This Economy There Is Good News When It Comes to Health Care~by Betsy Duncan
Jamestown, CA...All I can say is Wow!!! In this economy it seems like there is just no good news where health care is concerned. But I was delighted to find a clinic that caters to the needs of all patients. Even the uninsured. When insurance premiums increased to the extent that the equaled a mortgage payment, many people simply had to cancel their policy. It became a luxury that many American's could no longer afford. Sadly, residents all over Tuolumne and Calaveras counties are uninsured and not receiving the medical care they need. .....
So imagine my surprise and delight when I contacted the Mathiesen Memorial Health Clinic in Jamestown! I waited only 4 days for an appointment. Upon my arrival I was greeted by cheerful, professional and accommodating staff.
I saw my physicians assistant on time. She was gracious and caring and gave me the time I needed. This clinic emphasized a more natural approach to good health. So do not expect pain medications on your first visit. But do expect a caring atmosphere and quality of care.
Mathiesen offers a sliding scale for uninsured patients who have been declined Medi-cal. The cost of labs actually made me smile.
If you have a child who is a patient at this clinic and they have medical needs....it is a priority for the staff. So needless trips to the ER for earaches
can be avoided. During this economic crisis it is refreshing to find a service provider that understands what the public is going through.
