Murphys, CA....Save the Date - Murphys Irish Day will be on Saturday March 19th - Join us for our annual celebration of all things Irish featuring a parade, vendor booths and free entertainment on the street from 8-5. Fridays in February & March - Fridays At Alchemy. Matt Cullen Delivers style with pop, country and jazz vocal performances from the 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond every Friday on our patio from 5:30-8 pm. Saturdays in February & March - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum across from the Murphys Hotel. February 17, 2011 - "California Gold" with Huell Howser! Huell came by during Frog Jump last year and visited with Dorian of the Murphys Historic Hotel. Now it's time to watch the finished product starting @ 8 pm on channel 6. Come into the Saloon and join us. We will have drink specials and a raffle after the show.

February 18, 2011 - Join Plan B for live music at Camps Restaurant in Angels Camp from 8 to 12 pm.

February 19 & 20, 2011 - President's Wine Weekend - It’s time to whet your appetite for the upcoming CWA Presidents’ Wine Weekend, February 19 and 20! We’re talking sumptuous meatballs and tapenades paired with Milliaire’s classic varietals and great case sale packages starting at $99, as well as bottle sales as low as $7. And then there’s Chatom’s “All-American” offerings including hot dogs, classic PB&Js, chips, popcorn and apple crisp. There you will be serenaded by long-time favorite musician Richard Bolmen, performing modern and classic songs, and yes – fantastic wine specials.

It’s all happening at the 25 CWA wineries Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5 and it's all available with the purchase of a $10 commemorative wine glass. So, raise a glass of Calaveras and give a hearty toast to George and Abe

La Folia Winery - Celebrate Presidents Day weekend with us from 11am to 5pm, Friday the 18th through Monday the 21st. Join us for specials on wine packs and a tasty appetizer on Saturday and Sunday. Hatcher - Hatcher will be serving up their infamous barbecue pulled pork sandwiches and Sewell’s signature potato salad (oh yum). You can expect “red, white and blue” appetizers at Black Sheep and tasting of two newly released wines, the 2009 Cinsault and 2008 Zinfandel, as well as special discounts on wine purchases and a Presidential visit.

Ironstone - Ironstone’s Tasting Room presents barrel sampling from a barrel brought up from the caves just for you! February 19, 2011 - The Soroptimist Chili Cookoff - Yes another Chili Cookoff at the Hotel. You can't get enough Great Homemade Chili. The Murphys Hotel cooking starts at 8:00 a.m. This will be the first time this event is located at a the Hotel. All monies raised will go to a great cause. February 19, 2011 - - Spice Tin Celebrates Local Products in February - Charlyn from Homestead Favorites will be at The Tin from 1-3. Come in to savor her Cherry Jelly and Cherry Pepper Jelly and leave with recipe ideas.
February 20, 2011 - Spice Tin Celebrates Local Products in February - Chef Peter Speno will be introducing his Creamy Tarragon Dressing, a delicious favorite from his deli and restaurants and a new product carried at The Spice Tin. Meet chef Peter, taste his sauces and pesto and learn new ways to prepare delectable dishes.
