Letter to the The Editor~ by Chopper & Ladybug

Dear Editor, I wish I had some of those blue ribbons to hand out after our power outage. Our neighbor's reached out to each other to make sure everyone was o.k. If it meant extra hands to shovel and get fire wood, they were right there. If it meant clearing a driveway, again, so someone could come home from the hospital, they were there......

If someone was able to get out and go to the store, they asked who needed something. If someone was going to the pharmacy, again, they asked who needed what. Ace Hardware was letting folks shop in the dark to get the items they needed to make it through the storm. Ebbetts Pass Fire, as always, was helpful and ready for anything. The road department did their best to keep up with the crazy amount of falling snow! Those with generators offered to recharge medical equipment and some (not as necessary) fun things too.
When we woke up to power this a.m. we were grateful for all the PG & E folks who showed up to help. After living here for 24 years we know we made the correct decision to put down our roots in such a beautiful place. Thanks to all who helped, especially during blue ribbon of kindness week.
