March 4. 2011 - Murphys Senior Center Presents Big Band Night in Murphys Featuring the Tradewinds Dance Band from 6:30 to 10 pm at the Native Sons Hall. A $50 per person donation includes a no-host bar with exceptional appetizers, a free take home portrait and a lot of fun. Please dress casually elegant for this first class affair. March 8, 2011 - SMUG Meeting at the Murphys Volunteer Library - Global Positioning System (GPS) and the use of Windows applications on Apple computers will be among the topics covered when The Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) holds its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 8, beginning at 2 p.m. in the community room of the Murphys Library. Paul Keaton will be making the presentations and leading the discussion. SMUG members will be on hand to answer a wide range of computer related questions. The library is now equipped with Wi-Fi so members are encouraged to bring their laptops. SMUG meetings are open to everyone and there is no charge to attend.
