William "Bill" Turner of Copperopolis, Passed Away Unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. He was 66.

Copperopolis, CA...Bill was born in Chilliwack, Canada on November 17, 1944. At an early age his father moved his family to Albany, California where Bill attended schools through high school. He received his bachelors from Cal State Hayward. While in the Navy Bill was a parachute rigger. Bill was very devoted to the Masonic Lodge. He was one of the younger Masters in the Bay Cities Lodge in Richmond, CA in the 1970's. Bill worked for Wells Fargo Bank in the San Francisco area for 17 years. Bill loved being his own boss. He had a janitorial business in Foster City for many years prior to moving to....



Copperopolis, CA. Once moving to Copperopolis Bill owned and operated 'Nother Load Recycling in Jamestown. His most recent venture was owner of McCarty's Copper Inn.


Bill and his wife loved traveling especially taking out their travel trailer and cruising.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Nancy; his daughter Katie Roque of Copperopolis; son Jamieson Dodds of Copperopolis; daughter Shea Dodds of San Jose, CA; and grandchildren Breanna Roque; Anthony Roque; Jackson Dodds; Lucy Dodds; Xander Dodds all of Copperopolis, CA and brother John Turner of Beaumont, CA; nephews Sean and Kevin Turner.

Bill will be greatly missed by family, friends and the community that he loved.

A community service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Armory in downtown Copperopolis, CA.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
