Murphys, CA.....The Ironstone Gourmet Deli and Tasting Room is pleased to announce their Spring/Summer Hours... 10:00 am to 5:00 pm 7 Days Per Week. "At Ironstone, we're known for our hospitality. Built in 1907 by the New Brunswick Bowling Ball Company in New York, the tasting room bar sailed around Cape Horn to its original location at the A.J. Bumps Saloon in Freeport. At the turn-of-the-century, Freeport was a small port town where incoming ships could avoid the astronomical levies being imposed in the larger, nearby port of Sacramento. The bar’s rich oak was seasoned with many a tale of woe and happiness until the landmark location closed and the famous wooden bar was brought to Ironstone in 1992.
Gourmet sandwiches on freshly-baked breads, hot daily specials, salads, and home-made desserts await you in our Delicatessen. Dine alongside the 42-foot tall fireplace or on one of the patios that overlook our famous gardens. If you seek the beauty and quiet of the great outdoors, allow us to prepare a picnic for you to enjoy amongst the oaks in our Lakeside Park.
Throughout the Tasting Room and Delicatessen you will find an assortment of our wines along with epicurean delights and food-related items, as well as clothing and great gift ideas for any occasion. Be sure to try our Estate Grown Reserve wines, seasonal apple wine and some of the other delectible treats that are only available for purchase in the tasting room.
You may purchase wines by the bottle, or receive discounts of up to 20% on case purchases. Ask about available discounts on our featured “Wine Of The Month” and about our different membership-only wine clubs.
Complimentary Winery Tours start in the Tasting Room in front of our magnificent fireplace. Tours are offered Wednesday through Friday at 1:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday tours are at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Tasting Bar

Fireplace
Built of solid limestone and Calaveras Schist rock that was excavated during construction of the wine cavers, it stands 42 feet tall, 16 feet wide, and 13 feet deep.

Located throughout the Tasting Room you'll find antiques collected by the Kautz family members on their travels promoting wine and agricultural growth throughout the world.
