Letter to the Editor~by Peggy Rourke~Nichols
Dear Editor, I have noticed more tagging since the 4th of July holiday, I shrugged it off, thinking "It's not my responsibility". This morning, this is what I found, new to me,as of today. I am sending you the censored version of the photos I took. A coat was on the side of the road so I covered the sign with it, for now. I notified the Calaveras Dept. of Public Works and the Sheriff department as soon as I could this a.m.....
I know the budget is tight but felt it was important enough to report this hateful graffiti so the sign can be replaced a.s.a.p.
We have to ask each other, what type of community to we want to live in? I, for one, will now report all tagging, not just the hateful stuff.
