Duo Virtuosity! Olga Kern and her son Vladislav Kern - in Recital
One of the world’s foremost pianists and audience favorite Olga Kern returns with her 12 year old son, a precocious and sensitive pianist in his own right. Together, they will inspire and delight as they pair up for an evening of great piano music.
“Kern’s musicality radiates off the stage and saturates the hall, and it is joyously alive, immediately communicative, fragrantly sensual, and almost visual in its intensity. Whatever it is – call it star quality – music likes Kern the way the camera liked Garbo.”

Saturday, August 6 Disney in Concert: Magical Music From the Movies
Not just your children or grandchildren’s music!!! A Symphony Favorite!
Come be enchanted by Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies with the Bear Valley Orchestra, conductor Carter Nice, projected clips, still cells, and storyboard art from the films, and four leading vocalists. Every generation has a favorite Disney musical, whether it’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, or The Lion King. And then there are the classics, from a Mary Poppins medley to the “Yo ho” of Pirates of the Caribbean. When everyone joins together for memorable moments and melodies that Mouseketeers of all ages know by heart, it feels like a small world, after all.
The Disney concert has become immensely popular with symphony orchestras from Atlanta to Chicago to Dallas, both with audiences and with the musicians too. While the songs are familiar, the music itself is complex and rich.
