Official Update on Injuries Sustained Battling Last Night's Copperopolis Structure Fire
Copperopolis, CA...CAL FIRE crews assisted Copperopolis Fire Protection District with a residential structure fire on Glen Side Court in Copperopolis just after 10:30 p.m. last night. While engaged in firefighting activity, a CAL FIRE Captain sustained serious injuries due to a partial structural collapse. The firefighter was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto and is listed in serious condition. Two additional firefighters sustained minor injuries battling the fire...
CAL FIRE is working with the Copperopolis Fire Protection District to investigate the incident and subsequent injuries.
