San Andreas, CA...(Updated with more photos) Sheriff Gary Kuntz, along with a host of other personnel and volunteers from the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department came out today in the cold, together with a literally uncountable number of other community volunteers to assist Santa and the Resource Connection's annual Christmas food and toy giveaway. Cars were backed up all the way to Pool Station Road as the turnout was incredible....

Sheriff Gary Kuntz, along with a host of other personnel and volunteers from the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department came out today in the cold, together with a literally uncountable number of other community volunteers to assist Santa and the Resource Connection's annual Christmas food and toy giveaway. Cars were backed up all the way to Pool Station Road as the turnout was incredible.
This was but one of four locations that the Resource Connection set up throughout the county for food and toy distribution. San Andreas Elementary School, West Point Community Center, and Foothill Lutheran Church in Murphys were the destinations for the fleet of trucks, loaded to the top and sent on their way today.
Local people helping their neighbors; that is truly what this season is all about. Thank you all for your donations, your assistance, and great holiday spirit.
