Forty stalwart players experienced those changed conditions during their Four Man Scramble event this past Saturday. The Four Man Scramble format is a team competition of foursomes. Teams are selected to compete as equally as possible based on the average individual handicap of each of the foursomes. The scores reported went from first place of 64, seven under par to a last place par score of of 71.
Tied for 1st place were the teams of Tim Alleman, Jim Allen, Roger Ladd and Larry Youngblood and the team of Ron Schwartz, Mark Whitehouse, Scott Ratterman and Bruce Esty. Both foursomes finished with a score of 64. The winning teams were awarded $185 each of pro-shop credit to share among their foursome.
Alone in 2nd place was the team of Allan Tousley, Tom Suarez, John Smith and John Pinola. Second place garnered a team award of $130. The fourth place award of $100 was shared by Bill Bray, Chuck Wilson, Richard Spence and Joe Bailey. The team that shot the unenviable score of 71 went home with the muddiest cleats.
