Bret Harte Speedway Hosts Downhill Action ~By Patrick Works
Angels Camp, CA...Local Cub Scout Pack 343 held their annual Pinewood Derby yesterday at Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp. It started off as a cold morning, but the upper gym was soon heated up by the furious activity on the track, the crazy energy of dozens of squealing kids, and the hot and heavy competition on the track....

After a long double elimination contest, the scouts gave over the track to their siblings...and the girls had a contest of their own. Following their match up, it was decided that the champion Cub Scout and the girls' winner should go head-to-head...and the girls won!
