Here's a Fun Way For Kids to Learn About "Green" Living!~by Sandy Reed of Uniquity Builders

Green Builder Media has embarked on a mission to build a series of homes across the U.S. that focus purely on green building and technology. These Vision Houses have already opened in Orlando, Aspen and Las Vegas and soon to open is Vision House Los Angeles. The VISION House® in INNOVENTIONS at Epcot®, which opened on Earth Day April 22nd, is an exhibit where Disney World visitors can take a look inside the house and come out with a better understanding of green living....

In addition to the opening of the Epcot house, Green Builder Media and Vision House has launched an animated series of stories about a family and their animal friends who take environmental concerns very seriously. The effort is to educate kids about living green and to get them more involved in the community as well as their own homes.

Vision Tales focuses on teaching kids about environmental issues such as water conservation and solar power. Each episode will feature one of these issues. The interactive website, Visionhousegreen.com/kids, let's kids play games, such as "Green This Scene" and they can also meet the family. Each character has a specific environmental passion, whether its soil preservation, removing plastics from the ocean or reducing our ecological footprint...they each have a lesson to teach in a fun, kid friendly way.

This is a great resource for parents, too. The site has tons of ideas to help you turn your home and yard into a truely green environment. From something as simple as turning lights off when you leave a room, to harvesting rain water for your garden, Vision Tales is sure to help your family live a greener, cleaner life!
