Magnolia Cafe Hits Its Stride ~By Devon Shires
Murphys, CA...Often, living in a small town or even visiting one for that matter, can elicit an impending sense of island fever. Murphys, and by association Calaveras County, have become a sort of mecca, a shining example of hospitality, great food, wine and shopping planted smack dab in the middle of the Sierra Foothills; geographically a bit stranded from the luxuries of larger cities where diversity rules. Within this little jewel of a town, at Magnolia Café we strive to punch things up a little and to provide a subtle departure from the confines of our little island. With a casual atmosphere, friendly service and fresh food made from scratch, we open each day with the intention of impressing our customers, both local and traveler, regular or new comer....
We have been operating for nearly six months now and after some trials, a few tribulations and many triumphs, we have developed our routine, nailed down our menu, and perfected our service and most importantly have found a still growing niche in Murphys. We offer both the familiar and the more adventurous and we hope to continue to build our reputation and reach a wider audience. It is our wish to become a local and visitor favorite in this mecca of Murphys and if you have not had the opportunity to visit us yet, stop in for breakfast or lunch or swing by for an espresso and a pastry on the run. We would love to have the opportunity to earn your patronage, to create happy food memories for you and to become a part of your restaurant repertoire.
Our next adventure: tapas and drinks on Thursday evenings kicking off on July 12th from 5pm-9pm. You can expect to find live music, a variety of drinks, spectacular food and great friends. We hope to see you soon!
