"Tour Guides" to Entertain at July First Friday in the Park!
Murphys, CA...Tour Guides, a five-member band that has developed a loyal following in the Mother Lode playing dance music that crosses over many genres and generations, will entertain the crowd gathered in Murphys Community Park on Friday, July 6 for the next First Friday in the Park put on by the Murphys Community Club....
The band, formed in 2007, features the lively vocal artistry of Jessica Mouser.
From June to September, the First Friday in the Park series features a performance by a local musical group playing in the iconic gazebo starting at 5:30 p.m. From 5 p.m., a special dinner is available for purchase at $8.00 per person and an excellent local wine is on sale along with other beverages. This month, Lila & Sage will be catering the dinner and will offer BBQ’d Italian sausage on a fresh homemade roll with grilled onions and red peppers. Hatcher Winery will be the featured vintner.
Friends and neighbors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a small town America happening in the cool confines of Murphys Community Park.
There is no admission charge and ample free parking is available nearby. Free-will donations to help maintain the park will be encouraged.
The Murphys Community Club is celebrating its 44th year of providing services and programs for the greater Murphys area. Its prime responsibility is the management and maintenance of the beautiful Murphys Community Park.
This is the sixth year the club has presented First Fridays in the Park. These summer time events continue to grow in popularity and have fast become a Mother Lode tradition.
Murphys Community Park is located on Algiers St. in historic downtown Murphys. Membership in the Murphys Community Club is open to everyone and contributions are tax deductible. For further information call 728-8183.
