Five Arrested After Probationary Compliance Search

San Andreas, CA.. On July 27, 2012 at 7:30 A.M.investigators from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office conducted a probation compliance check on Eric Gabriel Sosa (34) of San Andreas at a residence on the 300 block of Russell Road in San Andreas. Suspect Sosa, along with Leah Ruth Robitaille (29) of Burson, Curtis John Kesterson (33) of Burson, Jason Wesley Andahl (28) of Mokelumne Hill, and Amber Hawthorne (30) of San Andreas, were ultimately arrested at the scene....

At the time of the contact the above persons were located at the residence. During the investigators’ subsequent compliance search they located a combined total of over one ounce of methamphetamine and associated paraphernalia consistent with drug sales. The methamphetamine was found both on Suspect Sosa’s person and in his living quarters.

Additionally, Suspect Sosa was carrying a smoking pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine. Furthermore, at the time of Suspect Sosa’s jail booking additional methamphetamine, along with prescription narcotic pills were found hidden on his body. He did not have a prescription to possess the pills.

Suspect Sosa, at the time of the above arrest, was out on bail from Calaveras County, the charges being Vehicle Code 2800.2 (Evading), 11550 (a) H&S (under the influence of a controlled substance), 11379 (a) H&S (Transport controlled substance), and 11378 H&S (possession of
controlled substance for sale), amongst other charges. Suspect Sosa was previously released from state prison on 12/20/11, and was immediately assigned to the Calaveras County Post-Release
Community Supervision (PRCS) program. At the time of his prison release he had approx. one
month remaining on his sentence. He was placed on the Probation Department’s electronic
monitoring program for the remaining month, and discharged from PRCS on 02/05/12. He was
re-arrested on 04/10/12 on the charges that led to his current bail situation.
New charges on the above suspects are as follows:
Sosa: 11377 H&S, 11378 H&S, 11364 H&S, 11350 H&S, 11351 H&S, 4573 PC, 12022.1 PC
Kesterson: 11550 H&S
Andahl: 11550 H&S
Hawthorne: 11377 H&S, 11378 H&S
Robitaille: Misdemeanor arrest warrant ($30,000 bail) out of Amador County for Vehicle Code
section 31 (false information to a peace officer).

Can we form a chain gang? Maybe if we get rid of the aclu and use these idiots as cheap labor they might learn. The folks at Angola know the drill.

Unfortunately the schools have taught them no useful skills. Clearing fire breaks is about all they are good for. Make them work hard and they might want to stay out of jail.
Go Sheriffs, don't cut those 109ers any slack!

Way to blame the schools! Ya think their parents might have played a part in their downfall? Maybe their own choices?

Oh, but it's so much easier to blame a big target like "schools." Get a life and get some facts, please, before you spout off next time.

Congratulations and thank you to the Shetiff and his deputies who have taken such an agressive stance in picking up all these "people" that Jerry Brown stamped with "Return to Sender". Calaveras has a "Return to Sender" stamp too.

It nice to know that county food bank employees are not only distributing food to those in need in Calaveras County but they are also distributing meth, what a great county we live in. Way to go checking out the people you hire HRC. Hopefully the sheriffs department can get more of this trash off our streets.

I may not know what facts other people my know but I live in that neighborhood and it is a well know FACT what was going onin that house and it is a FACT where some of those people worked and it is a FACT that the sheriff seized meth intended for sale in that house. But I will SPECULATE that anyone willing to defend those listed in the story above probably deserves thier same fate.

Sorry to see people you know who are trapped in addiction...especially when you know they have family and kids. Maybe some good can come from this and lives can change... It never hurts to pray!

in our household we are looking at a miracle every single day...it was brought about by prayer and love of family, friends and community. distant medicine or practicing physicians did nothing to contribute to our new way of life...prayers and love did it all.

You don't know me. To say that is totally wrong. Just because I defended someone doesn't mean I'm involved with what they supposedly are involved with. I'm just saying you should know ALL THE FACTS before you slander someone. Other words keep your opinions to yourself, not out there so the whole world can read it.

Can you blame the employees for doing meth??? Ever worked at The Resource Connection? They don't give a crap about their own employees. Have you ever heard anyone that worked there say anything nice? There is something wrong when the bosses actions'don't represent the motto the company stands for. Their own employees are as poor as the people they serve.

The Accused
Posted on: 2012-07-30 18:33:24   By: Anonymous

I would like a chance to defend all parties involved. I guarantee that there was no meth distributed from the food bank from any of the five people arrested on Friday the 27th. I am one of the accused. I am also the employee, well ex-employee, that was working for the food bank. Anyone who knows me knows that I have a strong passion to help people. After some events that took place in my personal life over a year ago I had a thought. I had realized that our prison system is a messed up system. I wanted to try to help those prison raised outcasts that our society has created. As a community we have set up a system for failure. There is so many that don't even have a clue what it is like to be raised in the prison system. Yet they are the first to burn a criminal at the stake. It's like caging up a dog for long periods of time...once freed they will run fight and even kill. What makes you think that it would be any different for a human. I have tried helping so many people and some successfully and some not. Why don't you try to HELP these people rather then turn your backs on them. Anyone who knows me and my passion know that I am just accepting of people for who they are. Everyone has problems. Who are you to judge and turn your back on these people. I challenge you to make a difference. I challenge you to try to live a day without all the luxuries that were most likely handed to you. I challenge you to open your hearts and get to know those who live and survive day by day with so much working against them. I challenge you to get to know what life in the shoes of one of us is like. I can guarantee that you would never make it. All of those people that were arrested that day are good people. Good people with problems that have had little to no support from any of you. Please take the time to think about this. I would love to hear your feed back.

Well put. I think someone needs to help them not always punish them and not judge them and turn their backs. There no different than someone one with their booze bottle or someone with their bottle of pain pills who no longer suffers from pain. Think about it.

you absolutely disgust me, and if you are in fact who you claim to be, distributing meth, regardless of how or where you did it, is by no means helping! I am so sick of seeing ALL OF YOU TWEAKERS, and where the heck were the children?! How do you suppose you were helping anyone by manufacturing and selling meth!?!? I only wish your meth lab would've exploded!

Where were there children you ask? Well one of the women arrested just had a baby less than a week old who was already TAKEN away from them, in the hospital for being born addicted to METH!!!!! This is a true fact! I feel sick that one of these mothers just had a child taken away due to the fact that it had meth in it's system at birth and then, the mother gets released from the hospital and goes and "sniffs" out more METH!!! Put them and jail and prevent them from reproducing!!!

i don't see where it states that the distribution of meth was helpful. You obviously missed the point. Tweaker or no tweaker they are all people. I bet you have your sinful desires or actions that you partake in. maybe you drink yourself to sleep every night or wear your methadone patches to keep you sane from your pts. who knows...it will all come out in the wash. i agree with lets help these people not hate them.

so then exactly how was this person who claims to be the one who worked at the food bank "helping" the others who were busted? Who ever wrote the post to defend the 5 claimed she has a passion for helping people. I would like to know how exactly being busted with METH FOR SALE is helping anyone. And for the record, I dont drink myself to sleep, nor do I where a methadone patch or whatever.

The person who calls them self the Accused I know and and really more then anyone.Let me tell you all something she does love helping people and does care and won't turn anyone away so till it has been tried in the courts and everything has been said and the truth come out you people with the ghost behind your own closed doors don't assume the accused is guilty because I would trust this person 100% with my kid cause if you don't know it you should on how many sex offenders you have around you and I have seen atleast 6 of them walking through town so why don't check yourself before you hang this person cause I know more then any of you almighty people that has never done anything wrong in there life YA RIGHT YOU HAVEN'T but I would be around This person and my kid around this person more then any of you who think you know it all people who I'm sure truth be told have things maybe now or in there past you might be hiding and with that said you don't know what part or if any this person was part of but me the one person that knows the truth cause The accaused has never lied to me and told me about what took place is not what you think you know just assume. Oh by the way the PERSON who WROTE cause I deffend this person I to am involed in that life you are the most uninformed person I have ever seen you don't know me and not your place to assume that i am in that life style and really not your biz but I'll tell you anyway No I don't take meth never have but yes in my younger dies tried some things but don't touch now and am a recovering drinker and haven't drank in sometime now but if wasn't for people like the accused I would stil be drinker so untill the facts go through the courts some of you need to stop hangging people before you the truth and thats why we live in the U.S cause we all have the right yes rights to a fair trial and if you can't trust in the system then leave don't want you here anyway. And I don't if you believe me or not cause what you think don't mean damn thing to me if you that hang people before you know all the facts so take it how ever you want I won't lose any sleep cause I do know the truth..Hang in there the accused it will come out the truth and these people that slam you that don't it all will look like fools cause your heart is so much bigger and better then theres and if you know me I don't do this put myself out like this unless its important to do so cause i don't care what people think or worry about it till people act dumb hang in there. First of all I was no selling meth from my house. I was attempting to show Eric a different way to live. I have a passion for people like Eric whom have had everything against them from childhood. Because I am the resident of the appartment I was charged with sales becacuse I refuse to say who's it was. Had I known about it trust that it would not have been there. Some of us have hearts and will put someone else before them. Please note that I do try very hard to help people. Ask just about anyone that knows me either on a personal level or as one of my previous clients from the food bank. They will tell you, not that it matters anymore. The damaage has already been done. I can't change the fact that I have lost my job. I do befriend all walks of life and sincerely care about them. I know that my post isn't going to change your opinion but I also know that I lay my head down every nght knowing that I have a good heart and a good life for me and mine. Please read the release from Calaveras Enterprise that the head of probation made in regardsd to the search. It should all be thrown out.
