A Guide to Starting a Business in Angels Camp

Angels Camp, CA...“ A Guide to Starting a Business in Angels Camp,” an attractive 4-page color booklet, is now available in print and web versions for anyone interested in starting a business in Angels Camp. The first of many on-going economic development projects of the new Destination Angels Camp (DAC), the guide covers the steps necessary for opening a business in Angels Camp.

“Attracting new businesses to the Angels Camp area is one the top priorities for DAC,” said chairman Bob Trinchero, “and this guide is a good start. It’s our first joint project with the City of Angels staff. They researched and gathered the important information and contact details and DAC handled the design and production as well as the costs.

“Another positive to come from this project are the new business-oriented photographs of Angels Camp that were taken by local photographer Patrick Works. These photos will become the foundation for the City’s photo library,” added Trinchero.

Topics covered include zoning information, fictitious business names, business licenses, planning and building permits, county and state permits, and IRS and Franchise Tax Board information. Contact information is listed at each stage and for city departments, local utilities, schools, real estate agencies and, of course, Destination Angels Camp and the Angels Camp Business Association.

The new brochure is available at City Hall, the Planning Department, and the offices of DAC and ACBA at 1211 S. Main Street and on www.angelscamp.gov, www.destinationangelscamp.com and www.angelscampbusiness.com.

Destination Angels Camp Development Corporation is a non-profit, public-private partnership set up to build a prosperous Angels Camp though economic development programs to retain and attract businesses that benefit Angels Camp residents, businesses and visitors. It has a special emphasis on strengthening the historic downtown as a critical element in the life of the community and in becoming the base camp for Sierra mountain sports. Its all-volunteer board consists of local business owners and executives, realtors, retailers, sports providers, residents and City government officials. DAC can be reached at 209-736-0088 or at info@destinationangelscamp.com.
