MARK TWAIN ST. JOSEPH’S HOSPITAL TEAMS UP WITH LOCAL YOUTH FOOTBALL TO INCREASE BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

SAN ANDREAS, CA – September 28th, 2012- Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital (MTSJH) has once again teamed up with the local youth football teams for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With both Bret Harte and Calaveras Football, Cheer Association along with Calaveras Junior Redskins and Angels Camp/Murphys/Arnold Bullfrogs (AMA) to spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October The Calaveras Junior Redskins will be joining MTSJH for the Pink in the Night Lighting Ceremony for all of the public to attend at 6:00 p.m. on October 1st, at The Terrace (Common Grounds, Fusion Grill) in Valley Springs...



On Friday October 5th, at the Calaveras Redskins Varsity game, MTSJH will have a booth for Breast
Cancer Awareness, and during half time there will be a special ceremony for Survivors. Saturday, October 6th, the Calaveras Junior Redskins have a home game at Calaveras High School in San Andreas. Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital will have a booth for Breast Cancer Awareness, handing out goodies to the mothers.

On Friday, October 19th the Bret Harte Bullfrogs will be mirroring the same program as mentioned above for their game at Bret Harte High School. The purpose of the project is to spread the word about breast cancer and the importance of breast exams and mammograms. Both football programs and cheer squads will be handing out pink bracelets and commemorative footballs to families in attendance. All football players will have pink ribbons on their helmets which they will wear for the entire month of October signifying hope for the cure.
