CCWD Headquarters Building Moving Right Along!!

SAN ANDREAS, CA – The Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) began the construction process of building their new operations headquarters building just four short months ago in the heat of the summer. Since the start of construction, Simile Construction Service, Inc. (Simile) has been utilizing 70-80% of local Calaveras County subcontractors. “The building progress is running smoothly, on-time and without any change orders” said Lynn Gentry, Interim General Manager, during the District’s Thursday Board Meeting. Simile expects to have the roof on, the building weather tight, and all outside work completed before the wet winter months. Doing this will allow Simile to complete the interior finish work during the winter months to stay on target for completion in April of 2013...

“A new operations headquarters building has been needed for so long and it’s exciting to
finally see the District’s hard work come to life.” said Board President Don Stump.
The new operations headquarters building is located on George Reed Drive, off Pool Station
Road in San Andreas. You can follow the progress of the District’s new operations
headquarters building through the District’s website, www.ccwd.org, where pictures are
posted on a weekly basis.

Calaveras County Water District is a public agency committed to meeting the diverse needs
of the historical gold country that spans 1,100 square miles. CCWD is responsible for
potable water delivery, wastewater collection, recycled water distribution, groundwater
management and hydropower generation facilities in the county. Through responsible
management and innovative planning, CCWD strives to protect the region’s rich resources
and advance its mission to serve the public.
