Happenings at the Murphys Hotel ~From Brian Goss

Murphys, CA...September started with a bang for Labor Day Weekend, lots of people in Red, White and Blue having a great time. The 2012 Summer Concert Series from Ironstone wrapped up their season with a performance by Jeff Foxworthy on September 8th. On September 15th Murphys Historic Hotel served our Taste-y House Smoked Salmon paired with a Kalamato Olive Tapenade at the Taste of Calaveras at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds, and we were awarded The Best of Calaveras Food! We hosted a talented group of painters from Marin County, who enjoyed painting the wonderful scenery of Calaveras County. Thank you for showing us Murphys through your eyes....

Concours' d'Elegance brought beautiful Classics to Murphys as they do every year.

That same weekend was the First day of Fall and the weather seemed like summer.

Our All You Can Eat Cioppino was back after taking a summer vacation, and it went over well with the hungry crowds, who poured in for the endless salad, garlic bread, and bowlfuls of Chef Joel's delicious Cioppino. We look forward to seeing you at the next Cioppino Night.

We were so happy to host Frank's Retirement Party, or should we say Frank's Celebrity Roast. It was great to hear the stories about Frank, and dance the night away to rockin' music by "Plan B".

September Employee of The Month: David Green

David has been with us at the Hotel for over one year as one of the talented Cooks in our Four Star Restaurant! It is apparent to anyone who watches him for a matter of minutes that his passion is intense. He is a proud Father of 7 month old Alexandra, and loving Husband to Ashley, and loves spending time with his Wife, Daughter and 3 well trained dogs, Shadow, Caesar, and Vix. David also enjoys hiking, camping, & bowling.

David always has a positive energy that he shares with the rest of our staff with his quick-witted jokes and one liners. He is very dedicated to trying his best and always makes sure that the customer is happy. All of us here at The Hotel thank you for being You! Keep up the good work!

And a Little about October

Grape Stomp had perfect weather and the crowds were great. After all, what's better than wine, sun, stomping, costumes, and a street lined with food and crafts. If you haven't been to Grape Stomp yet, you are missing out!

Thanks again to everyone who had a chance to

stop by!

Sincerely,

Brian, the smiling Bartender and Server!

P.S. Like us on Facebook to keep up with daily specials!
