First Wednesdays in Murphys - Taizé Services at the First Congregational Church of Murphys -The
FCCM holds TAIZÉ SERVICES for the community on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm. The church is
located at the corners of Church and Algiers Streets in Murphys. Pastor Jeff guides the service and is joined by
musicians from the congregation and the community who lead participants in Taizé chants. Time for silence,
meditation, prayers and lighting of candles will all be part of the experience. Call 728-3141 for more
information.
Tuesdays in Murphys - Winemakers Night at Alchemy - every Tuesday night from
4:30 to 7:30 pm. Enjoy a featured wine and a great meal. As always, there is live music
on the patio from 5:30-8 pm. Call 209.728.0700 for reservations.
Fridays at Alchemy - Matt Cullen Delivers style with pop, country and jazz vocal
performances from the 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond every Friday on our patio from

Thursdays & Saturdays in Murphys - Local Food Tours - Join Murphys Food
and Wine Tours every Friday and Saturday from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. Each tour
is approximately three hour and covers 1.5 miles of walking along historic Main
Street in Murphys and the surrounding streets. At least 8 food stops are included
and enough food is enjoyed to be considered a full meal. You’ll get the inside
story about the area’s rough-and-tumble past. It's an adventure for the mind and

November 3, 2012 - Benefit Dinner for Joyce Hacker - Join the friends of Joyce
Hacker at the Native Sons Hall on Saturday at 5 pm for a Spaghetti Dinner and Dance
featuring the Fabulous Off Brothers. Dinner will be from 5-7 pm with Dancing from 7-
10 pm. Bring your favorite frosted cupcakes and enter the cupcake war. Tickets are
$20 for adults, $10 for kids under 12 and free for kids under 5. Pick up your tickets at

November 8, 2012 - Wines of the World at the Murphys Historic Hotel - Dorian will be presenting
California State Fair Gold Medal Award Winners starting at 5:30 pm in the Mark Twain Banquet Room.
