Christmas To Remember a Big Success For Calaveras Unified Students
San Andreas, CA...On December 13, 2012, 140 students from Calaveras Unified Schools had the opportunity to participate in the Calaveras Christmas to Remember shopping day. Students, with the help of many volunteers, shopped for warm winter clothing and shoes. Calaveras Unified staff and families want to thank the generous citizens and businesses in Calaveras County who donated and/or participated in this effort...
This day would not have been possible without the kindness and generosity of Erick Payne and his amazing staff at KMart in Martell. The staff welcomed the children with friendly, open arms and showed them such kindness and generosity. Thank you to all who helped make this Christmas much brighter for many Calaveras children and families.

Slick roads and stupid

Just the first wreck of many to come this next week. Hopfully nobody gets hurt, and odds are, they'll all be caused by stupid drivers from out of the area with 4x4s, thinking they go faster than the posted chain sign speed of 25MPH. Repeat for all you stupid people......25MPH in chain control areas. If you don't understand or accept this, STAY HOME !
