Thanks to an Economic Outreach Bridge Grant applied for by Pastor Doug
Merritt of the Mountain Ranch Lutheran Church, the sum of $5000 has
been received from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Thrivent is not-for-profit private foundation whose grants aid efforts
to supply basic needs in communities such as food, clothing and
shelter through the Lutheran Churches serving these areas.

With this $5000 grant, representatives of Mountain Ranch Lutheran were
able to present checks of $1500 each to the Mountain Ranch Food Bank,
the Mountain Ranch Resource Center and the Rail Road Flat School
during the week of February 17-23. The remaining $500 has been placed
in a fund maintained by the church for use in supplying emergency help
to community members in need.

Mountain Ranch Lutheran is grateful to Thrivent Financial for this
assistance to our local organizations.
