Celebrate Reading because books can be Fun, Dr. Suess and his Friends...Thing 2 & Thing 1...

Murphys, CA....Michelson students and staff welcomed in the new month with a school wide celebration which kicked off the day with a special reading of "Cat In The Hat" by none other than school Principal Brett Loring and Secretary Judy Bergantz. Mrs. Bergantz enlighted everyone in her unique, home made dress with the English version followed by Mr. Loring echoing in Spanish. Special guests included Avery Middle School students and Michelson alumni, Wyatt Lawson as The Cat In The Hat, David Nava and Morgan Hull who recited the "readers oath." Media specialist Melissa Francis and Kindergarten teacher Nanelle McCracken pumped up the crowd as Thing 1 and Thing 2. 2nd graders Kahleiah Mora-Jones and Toch-A-Wah Rainier had a chance to wear their special hats for the celebration as well!
