That's pretty funny you blaming flat-landers when we have more then enough idiots up here behind the wheel, who seem to get up late, then think they need to speed, tailgate, and pass other vehicles at or in an unsafe manner.

Many of us have loved ones that drive that section of road regularly. Looking at the Sheriff's booking log from 4/16/12, this same person was arrested for DUI back then too. The log says the release reason was "citation". Someone dropped the ball on this one.

Remember to look out for the other guy. Like in this case he did not see the other car. We all have made that mistake at some time. Accidents happen.

Just be nice if the D.A. would get her head out of her _ _ _
and actualy get people some time. You can sell dope, carry a gun as a felon, threaten people, Drive drunk. It's all ok in Calaveras County. No Penalty

Are you drunk too? Did you read the report above? "due to his level of intoxication...". Maybe if he wasn't DUI he would have noticed the car. No excuses for DUI. Especially a second offense. Get this guy of the road before he kills someone.

"Ciolino was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI."

typically dui arrests where no one is injured, are cited and released from the jail after the 6 hour minimum sobering up period. In case you did not know a Citation is a summons to court the perpetrator is still held to answer for his or her offenses. Also the DA's office works very hard to convict DUI offenders. But in most cases with first time DUI offenders only end up paying a rather large fine between 3 to 8 thousand dollars and have to attend alcohol classes.
