Sierra Seasons Magazine Publiser and Artist Don Hukari's Art Featured at Hovey Tasting Room
Murphys, CA....The serigraphs and CityScape photographs of Don Hukari are being featured for the month of March at the Hovey Winery Tasting Room. An artist’s reception in his honor was held last Saturday and a filled to the rim room welcomed his art and the artist. The well-known and respected local artist, graphic designer and publisher is actively involved in the Central Sierra Arts Council and has organized the InFocus Art Competition for 15 years...
 
 
Born in Hood River, Oregon, Hukari completed his BS in Industrial Design at San Jose State University and moved to Sonora in 1974. He opened a commercial graphic design studio in 1978. Twenty-five years ago Hukari Design began publishing Central Sierra Seasons magazine.
“I’ve admired Don’s art for decades,” remarked Jan Hovey, co-owner of the tasting room with husband, Chuck. “This is a rare opportunity to see two very diverse methods of art by a master in each process.”
