Board-Certified Pediatrician Joining Foothill Pediatrics
Sonora, CA...Sonora Regional Medical Center welcomes pediatrician Tim Sullivan, MD, who will begin seeing patients at Foothill Pediatrics on Monday, May, 20. Dr. Sullivan brings over 10 years of experience, having practiced for five years at Cockerell & McIntosh Pediatrics in Blue Springs, Missouri, and five years with the United States Air Force....
Dr. Sullivan graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, with a bachelor’s of science in mathematics and completed medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. In 2002, he completed a five-year residency in General Pediatrics at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. During medical school, Dr. Sullivan enlisted with the United States Air Force. Upon completing his residency, he served five years as General Pediatrician at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, providing all aspects of pediatric care for the families of airmen serving at the base.
Growing up in Manhattan Beach, California, Dr. Sullivan had a young sister with a serious illness. From that time, he always had an interest in pursuing a medical career, particularly pediatrics. In his current practice, Dr. Sullivan has a special interest in the fields of asthma and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. He also enjoys working with first-time parents. “I remember what it was like when I became a first-time parent,” says Dr. Sullivan. “I like to help people in that situation.”
When Dr. Sullivan isn’t busy providing patient care, he is always looking for outdoor activities with his kids, ages four, six and seven. They especially enjoy visiting Yosemite.
