Pop The Corks...Historic Stevenot Property Has New Owners!!

Murphys, CA...In great news for our local wine industry and business community the Stevenot property and Dragone Ranch have new owners. The new owners have plans to reopen the winery and at least one of the partners has roots in the Sonoma area wine industry. This will start a new saga for the property that in many ways put the Calaveras County Wine Region on the map. Many in the community have been grateful for the care of the property from the investment group who became the unwilling owners after a foreclosure sale ended the Munari era...

Murphys Creek Theatre Production at the Corniela B. Stevenot Amphitheater last month...

The Cornilia B. Stevenot Amphtheatre is still operating there and even been upgraded and the farming side with grape production has continured unabated. If our area can have the historic property return as a winery it will been even better.

Local Realtor Joan Irish handled the transaction with a selling price of over $4.7 million for the 350 acre property. Cheers to a new chapter for a very beautiful and integral part of the wine history and now future of the Calaveras Wine Industry.
