Calaveras Community Band Playing Free Labor Day Concert -Concert Canceled Due To Rim Fire
Murphys, CA....The Calaveras Community Band, that traces its history to California’s gold rush days, will present a special Labor Day concert under the direction of Bandmaster Mic Harper in the Murphys Community Park on Monday, September 2, at 6:30 p.m. There is no admission charge. Families and other members of the community are invited to pack a picnic dinner and enjoy this end of the season concert. There will not be any food or beverages for sale in the park...
Through the cooperation of the Murphys Community Club, during the warm-weather months the band holds its weekly Monday rehearsals in the park’s distinctive gazebo. Following the Labor Day concert the band will move its rehearsal location to Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp
The band is always looking for musicians to join it in providing
entertainment throughout Calaveras County. If you play an instrument and think it would be fun to be part of the group there is a seat and a hearty welcome awaiting you.
