Bear Valley Adventure Company and Bear Valley Labor Day Weekend Update
Bear Valley, CA...Although we are more than 30 air miles away from the large fire next to Yosemite, the air quality here is poor. We are recommending unathletic activities like shopping, dining or driving instead of mtn biking, hiking and kayaking. The smoke sometimes lifts a bit in the afternoon. Call us for more up-to-date info at 209-753-2834. Events have changed. The 21st Annual Bear Valley Triathlon (normally Sunday of Labor Day Weekend) has been rescheduled to Sunday, September 22, 2013. The Ebbetts Pass Century (normally the 3rd Saturday in August) has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 28th. The Soap Box Derby has been cancelled, but will return next Labor Day weekend 2014. The Endeavor Challenge, scheduled for September 6-8, 2013 is still on, pending improvement in the smoke situation...

Labor Day Sale Details.
The Annual BVAC Labor Day Sale has begun, sort of. We are starting a bit early because of the Rim Fire smoke situation. So, new single and double kayaks are now on sale! Phone us for color and model choices.
The used gear is a bit more complicated. We are offering the used demo Specialized Road Bikes for sale now. The single used kayaks are also available now for purchase. The used mountain bikes, stand-up paddleboards and canoe will be on sale on Monday morning of Labor Day weekend, as usual starting at 8:30am. If you are interested in a used double, we can sell you one now, but after purchase we will likely need to hang on to it through September 8th due to the Endeavor Team Challenge special event.
