Learn The Resources Available To Private Forest Landowners To Aid In Recovering From Wildfire.
Groveland, CA...The University of California is cohosting a workshop for the Tuolumne County residents on Recovering from Wildfire: resources for private forest landowners. The workshop will be held at the Groveland Community Hall in Groveland on October 17th, 1:00 to 4:30 PM....
The workshop objectives are to present information on the role of wildfire in forest development and change, describe post-fire issues and treatment options for private landowners, and to provide information on post-fire treatment cost-sharing programs for private landowners and professional assistance for post-fire treatments.
This workshop is focused on the needs of private forest landowners affected by the Rim Fire, but also welcomes citizens interested in the future of forests after wildfire, staff and decision makers with state, local, federal and tribal agencies concerned with forest management, defensible space, and water quality.
