A specialized BAER implementation team mobilized last week and has been installing emergency stabilization measures approved and funded by the Forest Service Regional Office on September
13. Fallers continue to clear the interior roads of hazard trees, rocks and other obstacles within the Rim Fire area to ensure safe access for BAER implementation specialists and crews implementing the prescribed emergency actions and treatments.
BAER Implementation Team Leader Tom Beddow said, “With the funding that the Stanislaus National Forest received today, I will be finalizing a workplan to implement these approved interim #1 emergency stabilization measures.”
