Bear Valley is Fully Staffed and Ready To Roll for 2013/14 Season

Arnold, CA...Bear Valley Resorts held a very successful employment fair last Saturday and in reality they were already well on their way to being fully staffed and ready to go for this season. General Manager Jim Gentling was very impressed with the level of expertise and quality of many of the applicants. You may even have a few Fortune 500 refugees and retirees scanning your passes just so their wives can get them out of the house for a few hours everyday...

Joking aside Bear Valley Resorts are in a very good position operationally to have a good year. They are coming off of a successful and profitable season last year and while an off season sale wasn't completed progress is still being made on the future of the resort and the area.

Jim reminded me that they started looking at Bear Valley in 2001 and closed the deal in 2005. So while one of the prospective suitors didn't have time to get the deal done before the season started that doesn't mean that interest from multiple parties has evaporated.

Also Jim stated that 3 dry years in a row would be an extreme rarity so the snow volume if history is any indicator should pick up this year. All in all it appears to be a calm and confident group heading into the season ready to put a very good product on the slopes and smiles on the visitors faces.

Things will get underway on the November 30th Winterfest Weekend and if Mother Nature cooperates with some timely storms they can augment with a very good snow making department wheels may be turning by then. They well certainly be turning well before the Christmas Holiday.
