The 16th Annual Teddy Bear Tea Brought "Holiday High Tea" to Frogtown
Frogtown, CA...The Soroptimist International of Calaveras County held their 16th Annual Teddy Bear Tea to be held at Frog Town November 3. The traditional holiday affair brought together a magical day for children and adults still young at heart. Santa and Mrs. Claus, balloon animals from Krinkles the Clown, pictures with costumed ballerinas & the giant Teddy Bear, face painting, and holiday crafts. The festive event brought "High Tea"
Exciting raffle prizes were donated by community businesses and local families plus a Holiday Drawing will complete the festivities for the annual event! The Tea was sponsored by Dignity Health-Mark Twain Medical Center, Rabo Bank, Umpqua Bank, Golden State Cellular, Dr. Roger Wahlman, Black Oak Casino, Murphy’s Hotel, Murphy’s Inn & Suites, The Cupcake Shop, Frog’s Tooth Winery, and other local businesses and families.
Soroptimist International is a world-wide organization promoting “the best for women in local communities and around the world.” The group offers scholarships for head-of-household women returning to education and for girls who perform exceptional community service. Proceeds from the Tea also fund the group’s annual cholesterol screening for women.
