11th Annual Black Oak Casino Resort Community Grab for Cash Nets Area Non-Profits over $23,000
Tuolumne, CA....The 2013 11th Annual Grab for Cash enriched ten deserving local non-profit groups with over $23,000 this year. Ten groups were selected from almost 60 non-profit entries this year representing many diverse areas of community support programs. “The Community Grab for Cash at Black Oak Casino is our way of kicking off the holiday season by giving back to the community,” said Ron Patel, General Manager of Black Oak Casino Resort. “It’s a fun opportunity for our local non-profit organizations to get some much needed financial support.”...
A representative from each of the selected organizations had the opportunity to get in the Casino’s cash cube and grab as much of the whirling $5,000 as they can in thirty seconds. The results were:
Wings Fund $7,820
David Lambert Community Drop In Center $3,600
MYACT $2,120
Alpha Iota Chapter of Omega Nu $1,860
Big Dreams $1,700
Sierra Non Profit Services $1,600
Sonora Lions Club $1,490
Gold Country Social Club $1,090
Motherlode Youth Symphony $1,090
Tuolumne County Youth Football and Cheer $ 980
Total $23,350
The rewards of those moments in the cube can be seen in a number of ways in Tuolumne County. Over the years, an ever-changing variety of non profits have been represented and have been invited to take part in the seasonal giving event providing a windfall for their efforts in a tough current fundraising environment. These funds have been used wisely in efforts impacting many residents of both Tuolumne and Calaveras County.
