Join Mountain Melody for "Comfort and Joy" This Holiday Season
Mountain Ranch, CA...Mountain Melody brings you "Comfort and Joy" with the glorious sounds of the Yuletide season. The multitude of heavenly voices that make up Calaveras County's own women 's chorus will usher in the holidays with music to delight the whole family. Old favorites and new, every song is a glittering gem full of holiday cheer. Led by director and founder, Julia Shelby, and accompanied by Marge Biagi-Castro on the piano, the choir will perform an outstanding mix of contemporary and traditional holiday themed music....
A beautiful and haunting tune, "Stars I Shall Find" has lyrics written by Sara Teasdale, a celebrated 20th century American poet.
"All On A Cold Winter's Night" is a lovely song set to the familiar melody of "Greensleeves."
"A Joyful Night in Bethlehem" and "The First Noel" are updates of traditional Christmas carols.
The pop classics are also represented in a medley that showcases "Winter Wonderland," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."
