Our Family
CCRT exists to provide rich and rewarding experiences in the arts to children and youth of our communities and region.
While we audition to find the right fit and growing opportunities for our kids in productions, everyone gets to participate and learn the craft. Many kids have grown up in the group and some have gone on to chase their passion nurtured right here in the Motherlode. We welcome anyone 5-18, and are always looking for those who would like to learn more about the fun and fulfillment there is to be found on stage (or behind it!).
Our Director and our Board have hearts for the kids we are fortunate enough to work with, and nowhere is it more obvious than in our apprenticeship and scholarship programs. Each production offers mature youth the opportunity to serve in Assistant Director and Stage Management roles, and graduating seniors are encouraged to apply for scholarships designed to help them pursue their continuing education. CCRT is always happy to accept donations, advertising and sponsors to assist in the costs of mounting productions and funding scholarships; todays performers are tomorrow's journalists, marketing specialists, broadcasting personalities, educators, even finding a profession in the theatre/film/TV. A good foundation in the performing arts gives children and youth a foundation of imagination and outgoingness that lasts a lifetime.
