Roquefort Restaurant To Offer Small Plates & Innovative Organic Menu
Murphys, CA...It is hard for most vacationers to find a spot to have a short getaway, and it is even harder to find a spot for relaxed dining when they arrive. Most of the time, innkeepers/hotels and bed and breakfasts have their “preferred” list of recommendations, but how do you really know you are getting the best of the best? There is a new restaurant in Murphys, Roquefort, which offers the exact dining experience that will keep patrons raving for years to come. The menu is the first in the area to feature small plates and also the first in the area to offer a happy hour. Menu items are all organic, local and GMO free. Patrons can enjoy dishes such as extra gooey mac and cheese, an amazing roasted beet salad, Fontina, Cheddar and Roquefort grilled cheese with Spinach and Walnuts on Multigrain, or the Fontina, Red Sausage, Shiitake Mushrooms, with Oregano on sourdough. While the official grand opening is not happening until January, the new menu will be launched during the winter festival on December 6th. On this date the town shuts down the streets and local residents and visitors walk the town and experience a “taste” of Murphy’s. Every year on the first Friday in December, Murphys celebrates the holiday season with a community Open House from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and admission is free. The Open House event is a great time to peruse Murphys’ wonderful shops, tasting rooms and restaurants, see what’s new, admire the community tree, and appreciate the small town spirit. Owner Maya Radisch is thrilled to announce this amazing new concept to her hometown and plans on a special VIP event for her customers over the years.

Murphys Roquefort restaurant is located less than two hours from the Bay area and is even a shorter getaway from Sacramento/El Dorado Hills area. Other featured menu items include: Kale and citrus salad, Polenta fries with spicy ketchup, and an extensive artisan cheese selection. Attendees at the December event will enjoy the new restaurant menu that will be launched at open house.
