Bear Valley Mountain is Open For Daily Operations for the 2013/2014 Season. Lots and Lots of Events Planned
Bear Valley, CA...Enjoy the holidays in Bear Valley this year. Activities are planned at the ski area and in the village beginning Dec 21st. Santa visits the lodge for a picture taking session. Bring the kids and pets and take a picture with Santa at the Bear Valley Lodge. Santa will be available from 5pm-6:30. So stop by for the wine social and take home a holiday pic for your facebook page. (we’ll provide the setting, you bring your device). Santa visits the lodge for a picture taking session, and near the fireplace we will be pouring one of Central Sierra’s finest, as we kick off the first wine social of the season with Chatom Vineyards. Free to 2013/14 pass holders (purchased passes only), $5 for non-pass holders. Open to all, come join the fun as we kick off the holiday season.
DECEMBER 24th SANTA ON THE SLOPES
Santa will be on the slopes at the ski resort spreading holiday cheer. Track him down for a special treat on the trails.
DECEMBER 24TH IN THE LODGE
A Christmas Eve Movie is planned at the lodge beginning at 6pm. Nothing says the holiday then time with family & friends. Put on your “comfy” clothes, bring a blanket and enjoy an all time favorite in the cozy comfort of the Cathedral lounge. It will be a special evening, so join us as we take in a movie classic that is sure to get you in the Holiday Spirit!!
DECEMBER 31 – NEW YEARS EVE DINNER
Be sure to Ring in the new year in Bear Valley Village! The Creekside Dining Room, Grizzly Bar & Grill and Sky High Restaurant and Pub will all be open with special menus for the evening. Menus and more information coming soon. To make reservations for the Creekside, call 209-753-2327
DECEMBER 31 – NEW YEARS EVE DINNER PARTY & FIREWORKS SHOW
After dinner join the New Year’s party in the Cathedral Lounge at the Lodge, featuring live music by “The Bills” from 8-12 midnight! The party will have a balloon drop at midnight followed by a spectacular Fireworks display sponsored by the Bear Valley Business Association. If you have never been, make plans to be there – it is a night to remember. Be sure to books rooms soon as they sell out each year.

The New Years eve Fireworks show will be best viewed in shuttle bus stop lot. Show will begin immediately following balloon drop; this spectacular show is free & open to the whole community! For additional information, please call (209) 753-2327!
JANUARY 1ST, 2014
On New Years Day, join in a new holiday tradition as Bear Valley Mountain kicks off the First Annual Snowman Building Contest on January 1, 2014. Your creation may become the mascot for one of our youth teams and will be on display all season long. Limited space available for team mascots, registration starts on mountain at 9:30am. Contestants will have 4 hours to develop their creations. Get creative with your snow creatures – traditional snowman, animated characters, other animals….all welcome. See you on the 1st for this brand new tradition for family and friends.
