"I've always been amazed at the way the grain of wood flows. Someone once told me the Chinese word "law" means flow with the grain. In 1975, I had a workshop in the Santa Cruz mountains. There he made totem poles, beds, cradles, tables, sculpture, and arch top cabinets, etc.

A time came when I got tired of sawdust. So, I got into landscaping, and handyman work. Once in a while I'd get a commission in wood.

In 2001 I moved to Nevada City, CA to study mysticism with Anandi Devi. For 4 years, my art was to be in selfless service. In 2005 I got the call to move in with my Mom and help take care of the Dad. Dad passed on followed several years later by my Mom.

In 2013 I bought 20 acres, in Angels Camp, after my parents passed on. I am doing woodwork full time. "

Gary has opened a woodworking shop at 1245 Hwy 49 and the entrance is off of Gun Club Road. Give him a call at 209.210.0267
