Take Rex & Dutch Home With You!
San Andreas, CA....Rex is a 62 pound mutt about 5 years old. He is a sweet boy with an exuberant personality. He will greet you with a warm smile and an enthusiatic wag of the tail. Rex needs training but, he is eager to learn. A physically strong but, gentle hearted soul would be perfect for Rex as he is also strong but, gentle hearted. Rex is a big boy so, we don't recommend a family with small children, also no cats or goats. Rex has been at the shelter for awhile and would really love to find his forever home.

Extended Business Hours
Animal Services is excited to announce that we are extending our business hours as of December 3, 2013. This will include being open to the public on Tuesdays, adding a whole day for everyone to come in for business and/or to look at our wonderful companion animals that are available for adoption. Saturdays have always been good days for adoptions here at the shelter and we are hoping that by extending our Saturday hours, we will be able to create an opportunity for more pets to meet their forever families.
Our new business hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 1pm and 2pm until 4pm.
We are always thrilled when we have people interested in adopting. If you plan to do so, may we ask you to come in at least 30 minutes before we close to allow for enough time for a good conversation about the companion animal and to finalize the paperwork.
During these hours we also offer to microchip your pet, something everyone should consider as this microchip is dramatically increasing the chances to reunite pets and owners when and if they are separated. If you plan to microchip your companion animal, please come to our office some 30 minutes before we close. Thank you!
