5th Graders Ski Free at Bear Valley Mountain  We understand that they will be busy with state reports, graphing x-y coordinates and concepts as important as the water cycle, but fifth graders get the weekend off, don't they? New this year, fifth graders can ski free every weekend at Bear Valley! Students maintaining a "C" average or above are eligible to apply but must act fast. Fat Bikes at Bear Valley Cross Country
Any day spent in "the meadow" at Bear Valley Cross Country is a good one. The choices of how to do so just expanded even further. Not only can you cross country ski, snowshow or sled, you can now rent a "fat bike," a bike with 4 inch thick tires made for riding on the snow. Sizes vary from XS-L and can accommodate young teens (at least 4'11" in height) on up. Per hour rental is $20 with trail access at $10; optimal riding hours are 9-12.
