Collective Patient Resources Announces Tuolumne Chapter
Sonora, CA...Collective Patient Resources is proud to announce the formation of CPR Tuolumne. Long time Tuolumne resident Eli Velderhuesen has volunteered to spearhead our new chapter, and will serve as the Primary Patient Services Coordinator in Tuolumne County. The impetus behind the formation of Tuolumne CPR is the recent attempt by Tuolumne County officials to regulate medical marijuana through the municipal code. A large number of county residents feel that the proposed regulations are too restrictive, and have come together in an attempt to encourage compromise. The large number of community participants warranted the establishment of a new CPR chapter....
Collective Patient Resources is a medical marijuana informational network and public service organization that has been serving the Tri-County since 2009. We have made significant progress for legal patients and cultivators in that time.
CPR successfully stopped proposed bans on outdoor cultivation in both Amador and Calaveras Counties. In 2010, CPR persuaded the Angels Camp Police Department to return the medicine of a patient who had been unjustly arrested; it was the first time in the history of Calaveras that marijuana had been returned to a patient by law enforcement, and the first time in state history that medicine had been returned to a patient without a court order. CPR's Patron Provider Program has been coordinating the provision of free medical marijuana to all terminally ill patients in the Tri-County since 2010.
We look forward to helping the Tuolumne community become a safe place to live for medical marijuana patients and providers who are abiding by state law.
