Sender's is The 2013 Chamber of Commerce Business Of The Year (Updated with Video)

Angel Camp, CA....Last night at a packed Annual Awards Dinner at CAMPS Restaurant. Sender's Markets was voted the 2013 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. With their decades of success in Mountain Ranch and their 2013 Expansion into Valley Springs, 2013 was their year to take home the trophy. They now provide over 80 local jobs and contribute significantly to our local economy. State Senator Tom Berryhill who now hails from Twain Harte and Assemblyman Frank Bigelow were on hand for the festivities and had proclamations from the State honoring the winners...

The Black Bear Inn in Arnold was also nominated and 2013 was a wonderful and creative year for the elegant Black Bear Inn.

The 2013 Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award was given to Ray Davis. Davis is an integral part of keeping the Chamber's Events and organization rolls along year after year.

The RIM Fire and Water featured prominently in the Keynote from Susan Skalski who is the Stanislaus Forest Supervisor. She spoke on lessons learned from the Rim Fire and moving forward. For her and others the RIM Fire will mark a point in time where many things changed and some forever.

SPI's Mark Luster spoke on their post RIM fire harvesting push to salvage as much usable lumber from their plantations that burned during the fire. He also discussed their replanting efforts that will soon take place on the burned areas as well.

CCWD's General Manager Mitch Dion gave an update on water in the area in a drought year and CCWD's plans on dealing with these and other problems.

It was a great night for our local business community and congratulations again to the winners and nominees.

The National Chamber of Commerce is spending 500 million dollars trying to push through amnesty for illegals..
Wrong thing to do. The key phrase is "ILLEGAL".
