Mother Lode Round-Up Queen Contestant: Rachelle Snitchler

Jamestown, CA... The Tuolumne County Sherriff's Posse has been sponsoring the Motherlode Round Up Queen's Contest for 37 years and the kickoff for 2014 was on a Sunday evening where the public was introduced to the six Queen Contestants for 2014. We will be featuring each of the Round Up Queen Contestants as we receive their pictures and bios! Our second Queen Contestant to be featured is Rachelle Snitchler (Calaveras County) who writes:

“Hello! My name is Rachelle Snitchler and I am running for the 2014 Mother Lode Round-Up Queen! (more inside)

I am a 19 year old sophomore at Sacramento City College majoring in Political Science with a minor in Linguistics. With these studies I hope to become a code-interceptor for the government and possibly join the Navy. I live with my parents in Valley Springs where I have my many wonderful animals.
As one of six contestants for Miss Mother Lode 2014, I have hopes to be a great representative not only the counties in the Mother Lode, but also a representative of rodeo in the west. It's my dream to one day be in the same boots of the girls that I looked up to when I was younger, to be a positive role model to both girls and boys.
If you are interested in attending the 57th Annual Mother Lode Round-Up or perhaps a $1000 cash prize, I will be selling tickets for $15 each. Buy them now--the prices rise to $18 at the gate rodeo day! All proceeds go to running the MLRU rodeo and benefiting the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Posse, who all run the rodeo (They're non-profit, so it's tax deductible).
I am also still searching for sponsors! Contact me at shelly9429@yahoo.com or (209) 772-9170.”

Rachelle and each contestant is responsible for selling 200 tickets and they will be looking for additional sponsors as well. Expect to see Rachelle and the others out and about their communities as they attempt to meet their goals.
