This Is Our 40,000th Story! Thank You For Allowing Us To Be Part Of Your Lives!!! Next Stop 50,000!!

Arnold, CA...This is the 40,000th post or story on ThePineTree.net. Since 2005 we have tried our best to keep you informed and at times entertained by the news and events of our local communities. We view it as an honor to be part of your lives everyday. In many ways ThePineTree.net is yours. Your events, Your news, Your family members or friends memorial, Your dreams as your business opens and much more. Now even more than 40,000 stories ago we believe this is one of the great places on the planet to live, work, play and raise a family...

We feel joy when a business does well. We smile when an event breaks attendance records. We feel sadness when one of us is in the accident reports. Our heart breaks with you when a family member's journey in this life ends. As I write this many come to mind, that I and many of you wish were still with us.

In many ways we are one big family. Many times I have smiled when someone promotes or defends a business or organization in the area when someone asks about them. I have seen business meetings become more like family gatherings. We have seen local government meetings seem closer to family fights than about the public's business. But in the grand scheme of things even those meetings had endearing qualities. In small communities we care more about each other and our communities because we have to.

In small communities at times we may have disagreements and pick on each other but when someone else picks on one of our "siblings" we are there. Just like a family we can be a bit dysfunctional but even our blemishes can become our features and part of our lore and history. Even at times our enemy on this issue or that will be our biggest advocate in the next battle.

We have seen thousands raised for those in need. Communities become closer than many families during a tragic event. We have even seen at least one pubic official postpone his own passing so he could vote on a water issue. He did that because he cared. For many of us your views on national politics matter much less than how much you care about your community. It has been an honor to see how many people here really, really, care.

Before another the news odometer clicks over the 50,000 mark lets all work together to see if we can get our unemployment rate lower than the state's as a whole. Let's get our enrollment up at our local schools by attracting some young families to build their lives here.

Thank you for allowing us to be here with you! Each day we share our lives together. It has been and is an honor to share each day with you!!! Thank you for your visits, business, friendship and even the criticism that many times spurs us on to be better tomorrow than today!!

Thank You and may we share many more days, events and life's moments together.
