Mentoring Program's “Spring Swing” Had Them Swinging, Waltzing and Cha Chaing at Ironstone

Murphys, CA ... The fresh new springtime fundraiser for the Mentoring Foundation had them swinging, waltzing and dancing the night away on Saturday night. Rod Harris and the Columbia Kicks delivered their distinctive style of Big Band dance music. Partygoers enjoyed a delicious multi-station 1950’s-themed buffet dinner with stops like Bobby’s Burger Barn, Bud’s Spuds, and Delilah’s Diner so they could get fueled up and ready to Tango...

Many wonderful sponsors stepped up to support the inaugural Spring Swing.. Tad and Jane Bottomley-Winans were this year’s Spring Swing Sponsors; other major sponsors included Mark Twain Medical Center and Calaveras County Office of Education.

The Calaveras Mentoring Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for youth mentoring in Calaveras County. The Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program connects local youth with safe, positive mentors who offer friendship, opportunity, and support for making healthy life decisions. For more information about both the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation and the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program, please visit calaverasmentoring.org.
