Spellman declined
Posted on: 2014-04-20 18:26:06   By: Anonymous

Spellman declined the invitation for the VSABA D5 Supervisor night. He said he did enough debates. Said he was "done" at the end of April. Wonder what else he has planned for May? Guess he really is not interested in getting re-elected.

    He's totally arrogant. And chicken.

He knows he'd lose against either Marti Crane or Steve Kearney.

What kind of supervisor does this in a campaign??? Says NO to a debate 45 days before the election???

That would be nice, but I think Darren has too big an ego. I'm sure he's dodging debates since he knows the other two are better at them than him.

As a resident of District 5 I'm angry that he isn't willing to let us listen to him. We are entitled to compare him against his challengers. That is the American Way he proudly wears on his lapel all the time. Shame on Darren for not stepping up to the podium and taking it like a man.

Shame on you shameful embiciles for not knowing there is a debate Spellman will be attending tomorrow night Tuesday the 22nd 6:30 pm at the Rancho Calaveras Clubhouse that will be moderated by a respected former Calaveras Supervisor.

All anyone has to do is watch the you tube video of the public television candidate forum to understand why there is no need for any debates. It's pointless because the challengers are severely lacking to the point of embarrassing themselves.

Get a better candidate and there might be a reason to have a debate.

Kearney A.K.A. The "Family Guy" in animation circles, doesn't have a chance though he once did before the televised forum. The other two are nice people but no. Next?

Really Spellman? Resort to name calling and justifying one debate and one taped interview (not debate) is enough? If you are going to be a politician then get out in front of the voters. Do as many debates as possible to get your message across. Prove yourself

Unless you have nothing to prove. And are scared.

Then you can run and hide. Meanwhile, the voters are smart enough to realize you are not strong enough for this position.

A true leader would be out front, taking on the challenge. Not hiding behind his blue sport coat.

Nothing to prove is the correct answer, tell him what he's won Steve.

Weak know nothing candidates are a joke.

Better luck in 2018 if you can get someone viable to run.

Day late and a dollar short, again.

            I smell smoke.

The keystone coppers strike again with Kearney and Crane.

Another great blunder brought to you by the committee that couldn't count that is famous for their blockbuster hit "Total Recall Fail" and "Total Recall Fail II" available anywhere comedy scripts are sold.

                Spellman haters.

                You can't handle the truth.

Who would have imagined, an honest guy actually got elected. No wonder they want him out. Not going to happen though.

Keep dreaming 2018 will be here before you know it.

Wow, five posts by Spellman just now posted as if someone else wrote them. We all can tell your flippant, arrogant writing style, Darren. Certainly not exhibiting leadership qualities that is deserved of the position.

Instead of hiding behind Anonymous posts, and dodging debate requests, why don't you talk about what YOU have done for D5 the past three years.

Run on your accomplishments, Spellman. Oh, wait. You don't have any.
