Traffic Update....Accidents On Hwy 12 & 120

San Andreas, CA...CHP is reporting a couple of incidents in our area. On Hwy 12 at 7:12am an accident with unknown or no injuries came in on Hwy 12 near Double Springs and his just been cleared from the active incidents and on Hwy 120 near Old Priest Grade an incident has been reported as well. Lets be careful out there and see if we can hop through Frog Jump week without a fatal on our local roads. So back to Driver Ed 101....Hands at 10 & 2 and Eyes On The Road :)

Well it was the late 70s when I took driver's ed. My instructor's mantra was 10 & 2. These days Google's self driving might be the safest option

Well, it's 8 & 4 if you got a doobie in one hand and a beer in the other so the cops won't see!

It's actually 8 and 4 now. Check the DMV site. The recommendation was changed years ago because if your arms are centered at 10 and 2, the air bag will strike your arms (and your arms will strike your face) when it deploys in an accident. Worth checking facts before you start dispensing advice, John.
