Truck Improvement/Modernization Benefitting Emission Reductions (TIMBER) Program
San Andreas, Ca...The Truck Improvement/Modernization Benefitting Emission Reductions (TIMBER) Program is a voucher funding program option designed to help reduce emissions by replacing 2002 or older model diesel engine log trucks with 2010 or newer model diesel engine log trucks. When used to offset vehicle replacement costs, qualifying projects are eligible for up to $60,000...
What is the process?
You must be registered in the Truck Regulation Upload, Compliance, and Reporting System (TRUCRS) database, and have selected the Truck & Bus Regulation Log Truck Phase-In option (registration must take place prior to January 31, 2014) prior to applying. Applicants may download the application packet from the Calaveras County Air Pollution Control District website or request a copy from the District office.
Who can apply?
Any individual, business, public agency or non-profit organization that is located in, or that operates within, the boundaries of the state of California. Note: Applicants are limited to a maximum of 10 TIMBER grants per fleet, per year.
What happens if my project is selected for grant funding?
If your project meets the program criteria and has no outstanding violations, you and your selected dealership will be issued a Voucher.
More information about the TIMBER program can be found at the California Air Resources Board website.
For an application, you may contact the Air Pollution Control District at (209) 754-6601 or visit our office at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas, or online at:

Merrita lacks both vision and innovation and the only way to address this is to deprive her of the privilege of continuing to exert political control

Recycling an old truck to make a new truck uses lots of energy and creates far more pollution than merely using up the old truck to the end of its desgned life .If tits such a great thing, why does it take a government subsidy to induce owners to switch? I can see helping an independant to make this politician mandated change, but Big Timber like SPI should be doing it on their own,.
